The
IND’s Court Street station, opened in 1936, is now the site
of the New York Transit Museum. This station was the western
end of a shuttle service—the HH local line—to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn
Street station three blocks away (which remains a stop on
the A, C, and G lines). The Court Street station was closed
in 1946 due to low passenger use and the availability of
many nearby stations.
